Today I decided to focus on the environment. This is a topic that can only get more exposure over time as we continue to pollute our world. To get ideas for domain names either to keep undeveloped or to develop in the future, I went to the academic journal Environmental Research. This is where all the cutting edge academic research is published and so scanning through the titles of the papers, you can start to see recurring themes. Some of these are already publicized but some will probably get more and more exposure.
So what did I find? Well fluoride has been an issue for some time with some water supplies fluoridated and some not. So what about FLUORIDELEVELS.COM? Lo and behold there it was for the taking.
Another clear trend is the increase in asthma levels and so HARDTOBREATHE.COM seemed like it fitted well.
PCBs (Polychlorinated biphenyls) are long life environmental toxins. A lake near me was dredged last year and the dredged material could not be dumped where they had originally planned because of PCB contamination. A costly alternative plan had to be put together. Seeing PCBs in the paper titles reminded me of that and so I picked up PCBEXPOSURE.COM
Are these likely to make me rich? Probably not. But they do tie into the health and environmental movements and are likely to be of continuing interest and perhaps (hopefully) of greater interest in the future.
