Using MIT’s press office

by Barry on September 11, 2007

How about a trip over to MIT’s press releases? What are some of the world’s best technologists up to? Are there domain names in the making?

Lets start with “MIT’s ‘clutter detector’ could cut confusion”

“Now, a team of MIT scientists has identified a way to measure visual clutter. Their research, published Aug. 16 in the Journal of Vision, could lead to more user-friendly displays and maps, as well as tips for designers seeking to add an attention-grabbing element to a display.”

The bolded words are my own. Is this a buzz word of the future? Someone thinks so because the .com is registered

Hmm. Crowd Farm? Anything in quotes is an attempt to create a new buzz word. And crowdfarm.com is parked. Ok, are you getting paranoid? No? Ok, just don’t look behind you.

Next: Genome study shines light on genetic link to height

“It became clear nearly a century ago that many genes likely influence how tall a person grows. Now an international research team brings light to this age-old question by pinpointing a genetic variant associated with human height. ”

Well we know genetics is here to stay and is a major area of research. Many diseases are complex traits like height. So how about GeneticVariant.com? Well its available and I am leaving this one open.

As always feel free to play along. Remember that no suggestion here is risk-free and like any investment, you should research well and know the risks (as well as have the money to spare)
