Most of us feel that we are responsible for developing our own content but this doesn’t have to be the case. You too can have your own content writers without breaking the bank. Here is a trick to get good content on the cheap.
Starving students can create website content
College students are always looking for a buck or two. A post on a noticeboard asking for writers on a particular subject will almost always get replies. Students in English studies or writing classes are ideal candidates and you can get articles from them for relatively little money.
Got a specialized subject? Look for the appropriate class in the college and post on their noticeboard. You may not find the best writer straight away but try a few different students until you find one you can work with. The ideal student is one who will do quality research and has a reasonable writing style.
Another way to approach the same end result is to contact the lecturer and let him use your project as a class assignment. Some lecturers love such real world examples to test their students. You should always be up front about compensation for such efforts.
Journalism students are good candidates also but I find they tend to be more mercenary and look for more money. Once you do find a good writer, you should hold onto them. Good content writers are worth their weight in gold because they are creating original content with an appealing easily read style.
Check your student’s work carefully
Always check your writer’s submissions for originality and for any spelling or grammatical mistakes. One nice tool to ensure originality is Copyscape.com. You can also search for a sentence in Google using the quotations marks to find exact matches.
Students can create other content also
College students can also be used to create other content and help with other aspects of your online business. Some examples include
- Programming student for code
- Art students for graphics or logos
- Business students for market research or business plans
- Teaching student for online tutorials
Though students may require more oversight than professional writers, they can provide good content at a cost that you can afford. Also they can enable you to develop domains where you may not know much about the topic.

Very good idea. Working on hiring content writers currently for several sites and it is not always easy to find quality writers for cheap. We will implement this, I’m sure.
Have you ever used content writers found on forums? Did they do a good job? A short look at some of the forums shows that it is easy to find cheap content writers. The question is if they are any good..
Content writers in forums come in all shapes and sizes. A lot tend to oversell themselves in my opinion. I think the key is to order one or two articles and then see whether those are what you need. Don’t be afraid to ask for examples of work especially work already on finished websites and contact the website owner to verify.
Also if you have a specialized subject website, it is less likely you will find someone with the knowledge in a general forum. Try a forum like Google Groups on the same topic and see if you can find someone who would be prepared to give you an article or two to try out.
yah, i agreed with that, many of the students nowadays are really loved to create their own contents, their own theory – programming, designing and some of it a wannabe writer, to stay focused on their job and to earn maybe a little.. Im focusing on my member (students) that want to earn some income with my blog, i urge her to create a linkworth ads and put the contents inside my blog but with +cost, but hey they managed to get 100++ over for a weeks or so..
Students / users that really know how to make money we shouldn’t keep them hidden, we rise them..
