Im focusing on my member (students) that want to earn some income with my blog, i urge her to create a linkworth ads and put the contents inside my blog but with +cost, but hey they managed to get 100++ over for a weeks or so.. A lot tend to oversell themselves in my opinion. I think the key is to order one or two articles and then see whether those are what you need. Don't be afraid to ask for examples of work especially work already on finished websites and contact the website owner to verify. Also if you have a specialized subject website, it is less likely you will find someone with the knowledge in a general forum. Try a forum like Google Groups on the same topic and see if you can find someone who would be prepared to give you an article or two to try out.
