Create your own logo

This example shows you how to create a logo similar to that on BoneThinning.com, the example WordPress mini-site I previously posted on. Here I show you how to create a logo using two photos and using Photoshop. The same principle applies to other graphics packages.

Well done, didn’t realize it was that easy.

Only downside is that I don’t have Photoshop and it’s not cheap :(

Hi Patrick,

I have a Paintshop Pro tutorial in the works for this. It has a 30 day free trial and $70 to buy. I have used Paintshop Pro in the past and can vouch for it.
I am sure there are other graphic packages out there that can do this too.

I am working on some CSS tutorials too to style themes. Bear with me as it takes time to put all this together.

ps…i noticed you posted “(low quality youtube video)”. you should setup a free account with vimeo.com, that’s who i use. i pay extra for the pro version, $59 i think. with the pro version i can remove their branding and some other cool features.

then again, youtube is really good for search and traffic. i actually use both, post videos in both places.

Patrick – I was going to ask who you used. Thanks! The good thing with YouTube is it also drives traffic from YT to your site (in theory).

Barry, I wonder if it would be worth you doing a Thesis demo series using Vimeo with embedded affiliate links. Try a 10 step series and see how it goes? If you do it i would promote it above the fold on your site.

Thanks Patrick, will look into it. I need to play with Youtube also to see if i can get better quality uploaded there.

Phil,

Yes I have been debating that. Especially to show the advantages over the usual customization that you do to regular themes. I am going to put that towards the top of my to-do list.

I am also thinking about having pre-customized code for Thesis so if people buy Thesis through me, I will throw in, say, 5 pre customized layouts as a bonus for free. I could also sell these separately if people already have Thesis. So much to do! :)

Not something I have seen before. It sounds like a good idea.
