Where have I been?

Thank you for your emails and queries. I haven’t been actively blogging recently for various reasons but I am planning to blog at least sporadically from now on. I want to continue to add tutorials, resources and commentary on domaining and website development. Hopefully what is already here on this website has helped a few of you.

What’s been happening

So a couple of deals involving co-development and partnering on some of my bigger websites came up. These required some time to initiate and manage. Now that they have momentum, I won’t need to spend as much time managing them.

While this was going on, I have not been working on mini-sites. I say this because I know a few of you asked specifically about that. I can report that BoneThinning.com has continued to pick up visitors despite not being completed and is a steady earner. Though it doesn’t get a large amount of traffic, it converts better than expected and the return is about what I had originally anticipated. At this point, it is a good candidate for development into a full blown website given the numbers so far.

I also took some time out and visited Jamaica. I have to say the snorkeling was fantastic and I really loved the island and the people. There were so many people getting married on the beach there. It is certainly a place I would go back to.

Recently I had the honor to be invited to the Irish ambassador’s residence in NYC for an evening of music. It was amazing to listen to live Irish music while having amazing views of Manhattan from one side to the other as the sun set. I even ran into a couple of people I grew up with back in Ireland. Such a small world!

I hope everyone is still doing well and riding out this recession. It does seem that there is a recovery on the way even if it is a slow one. I do encourage you to diversify your business to make sure you can make it through this period. Thanks for your support and I hope you find something useful in posts to come.
